Our Plato Wags Back Partner, LabsandFriends.org Wants You to Meet 8 Amazing Dogs That Are Waiting for Their Furever Homes
As part of our Plato Wags Back program, we have partnered up with LabsandFriends.org to spread the word about their worthy cause, to provide product donations, and assist financially. We also love to highlight special dogs that need to find forever homes! LAFO is an organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Labrador retrievers and their “friends” in the greater Los Angeles area. The group’s goal is to find the right family for every animal they rescue by providing education and compassion. Labsandfriends.org is run completely by volunteers, so all donations go toward helping animals in need. Plato Wags Back will be sponsoring one of the Lab runs located at Best Friends Animal Society’s NKLA Pet Adoption Center in Los Angeles.
If you are interested in adopting any of the dogs below, please fill out an adoption application online at www.labsandfriends.org and contact Volunteer, Claudia directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org once you complete your application.
Meet Adam! He is a stunning, 2 year old, pure breed German Shepherd. He was the runt of a litter and had no obedience training until rescued by LAFO. Adam is very dog-friendly with all sized dogs that are also dog-friendly. He does need daily basic obedience training and reinforcement much like any young pup. Adam is currently being fostered in a home with many other dogs and is an absolute delight but also a handful! YOU MUST LOVE DOGS to adopt Adam and enjoy working with them. To know Adam is to love him. He is neutered, micro-chipped and current on vaccines. He must use a crate when left unattended.
Meet Coleman, an 8 year old- German Shepherd-chow mix. He consistently gives love to his companions, and love to receive it, too! He is neutered, micro-chipped and current on all vaccines. He actually made his debut on ABC news while at North Central Shelter prior to being rescued by LAFO. If you enjoy butter and honey coupled with cuteness, hair and 4 paws, he is your guy! He gets along with all sized dogs and loves being your shadow. He is also very kid friendly.
Meet June! An adorable 6-7 month terrier poodle puppy! She is spayed, micro-chipped and current on all vaccines. June is very playful, smart and super cute. She loves to be held and loves to play with other dogs. Her current foster home also housed her mom and 3 siblings, but she is the last of the litter to be adopted. Please consider Miss June for your home!
Tippi is very pretty & special petite lady. She is a wonderful, healthy, 8 year old min pin mix. Tippi is micro-chipped, spayed and up to date on shots. She weighs 15 lbs and loves to cuddle and walks well on a leash, is housebroken and loves being part of the family. She’s on the shy side so will do best with a gentle spirit that will allow her space to blossom and a place to call home while they take their time to get to know one other. She just needs good quality food & glucosamine for her joints.
Miss Hally is an adorable 3-5 year old 17 lb spaniel that was rescued form East Valley Shelter. She had a tumor in her rectal area and had it removed and is now doing great! She is a loving gal that really needs a nice lap to snuggle next to. She love toys and nice beds. Hally likes dogs that are her size or larger and can be a little fiesty if they over step their boundaries with her. She is not a big barker and will do just fine in a tiny house, apartment or mansion. Hally LOVES to go on walks.
Pocho is a handsome 10-12 year old Min Pin and was rescued from North Central Animal Shelter. He is an absolute charmer and you must be crazy about a loving – easy going fella in order to adopt him. He is dog friendly and great for apt, studio or mansion living. He just needs good quality food, glucosamine for his joints and occasional pain meds when his joints get stiff. Pocho may be an older gentleman, but he just wants to love and be loved.
Miss Hillary is a 2-3 year old female terrier mix. She was rescued from East Valley Shelter after being hit by a car. She had an issue with her right eye but seem to be doing just fine now. She is dog friendly and cuddly. She can be a little feisty and is selective of who she wants to spend time with, but if you are her family she will love you to bits. Whomever adopts her needs to have patience when Hillary meets new people, she sometimes feels uncomfortable with strangers. She needs a quiet and loving household that will spoil her rotten. She is spayed, micro-chipped and current on vaccines.
